Tarot: Mind, Body, Spirit Connections by Kim Rain

Why Setting Spiritual Goals Shapes Your Energy for the Year Ahead by Kim Rain

The start of a new year is one of the most powerful spiritual reset points we experience.

In tarot, time is not just measured in days and months—it moves through cycles, archetypes, and energetic lessonsEach year arrives like a new card drawn from the deck, carrying a theme that influences love, career, finances, and spiritual growth.

Yet for many years, I ignored this sacred moment.

I didn’t set New Year intentions.
I didn’t consult tarot for guidance.
I didn’t align my energy with the year ahead.

And as a result, those years felt unproductive, repetitive, and energetically stagnant—despite effort and good intentions.

If you’ve ever wondered why certain years seem to pass without progress, clarity, or fulfillment, the answer may lie in how (or if) you intentionally aligned with the energy of the year.

Why New Year Intentions Matter in Tarot & Spiritual Practice

From a spiritual perspective, setting New Year intentions is not about forcing outcomes—it’s about energetic alignment.

Tarot readings work because they create awareness. They show you:

* The energy surrounding you
* The lessons seeking completion
* The opportunities waiting to be activated

When you don’t set intentions, your energy becomes reactive instead of intentional.

In tarot terms, it’s the difference between:

Drawing a card consciously
  vs.
Letting the deck scatter unchecked

The Hidden Cost of Not Setting Spiritual Goals

During the years I skipped intention-setting and New Year tarot readings, I noticed consistent patterns:

 1. Feeling Busy but Spiritually Unfulfilled

I stayed active, but my energy was scattered.
This reflects the Knight of Wands reversed—movement without direction.

 2. Repeating the Same Emotional Lessons

Without clarity, the same challenges kept resurfacing in different forms.
This is the Wheel of Fortune stuck, signaling unresolved cycles.

 3. Emotional and Energetic Burnout

Effort without alignment leads to exhaustion, not growth—classic Ten of Wands energy.

Why the New Year Is a Powerful Time for a Tarot Reading

Spiritually, the New Year acts as a **portal**—a moment where the subconscious is open, receptive, and ready to release old patterns.

This is why a New Year tarot reading is so powerful.

A yearly tarot reading can help you:

* Understand your **personal year theme**
* Identify blocks before they manifest
* Clarify love, career, and financial energies
* Align decisions with divine timing
* Set intentions that match your soul’s path

Skipping this window often means carrying old energy into a new cycle.

Goals vs. Intentions: A Tarot-Based Perspective

Traditional goals focus on outcomes.
Spiritual intentions focus on **energy and identity**.

At MindBodySpiritSource.com, I encourage intention-setting that asks:

* Who am I becoming this year?
* What archetype am I stepping into?
* What energy am I ready to embody?

For example:

Instead of “I want more money,”
  → *“I am aligning with abundance and self-worth.”*
Instead of “I want clarity,”
  → *“I am strengthening my intuition and inner trust.”*

Tarot responds powerfully to identity-based intentions.

What Changed When I Began Using Tarot for New Year Intentions

When I returned to setting intentions—guided by tarot and intuitive readings—I noticed profound shifts:

* Clearer intuition
* Stronger boundaries
* More synchronicities
* Less emotional resistance
* A sense of direction even during uncertainty

Even when plans changed, I never felt lost—because the energy was aligned, not rigid.

Why Many People Avoid New Year Tarot Readings

Avoidance often comes from fear:

* Fear of hearing the truth
* Fear of commitment
* Fear of repeating past disappointments

But tarot doesn’t judge—it reveals.

Awareness is not limitation.
Awareness is liberation.

If you’ve ever felt:

* “Every year feels the same”
* “I’m trying, but nothing is shifting”
* “I feel disconnected from my path”

It’s likely not a lack of effort.

It’s a lack of **energetic direction**.

I know—because I lived it.

A New Year Tarot Reading Helps You Co-Create, Not Wait

Tarot is not about predicting fate—it’s about **participation**.

A New Year tarot reading helps you:

* Step out of autopilot
* Work with spiritual timing
* Make empowered decisions
* Move forward with confidence and clarity

This is conscious creation—not passive hoping.

Your Year Is a Card Waiting to Be Drawn

The upcoming year already holds its message.

The question is:

**Will you step into it consciously—or let it unfold without intention?**

At MindBodySpiritSource.com, tarot readings are designed to support:

* Spiritual growth
* Emotional clarity
* Empowered decision-making
* Soul-aligned intention setting

If you’re ready to approach this year with clarity, alignment, and intention, a New Year Tarot Reading can reveal:

✨ Your personal year theme
✨ Key opportunities and challenges
✨ What to release from the past
✨ How to align with love, career, and abundance
✨ The archetype guiding your year

👉 **Book your New Year Tarot Reading at MindBodySpiritSource.com and step into the year with insight instead of uncertainty.

The deck is ready.
The energy is waiting.
This is your sign.

What is Tarot Exactly? by Kim Rain

Tarot uses a deck of cards kind of like playing cards, but full of deep meaning and archetypal symbolism. If you know how to read the cards, you can begin to get clarity into what the universe is trying to tell you. The cards are typically shuffled and laid out into a pattern known as the tarot spread, and are then interpreted by an intuitive reader like me!

The cards can give insight into events and emotions people are going through, as well as offer clarity on what steps to take next. This form of divination has existed for centuries and has been used by different cultures and civilizations around the world.

I’ve been developing my ability to read tarot since I was a teenager. But it’s not a matter of just remembering set definitions of what the cards ‘mean’.
Every tarot reading is a beautiful and exciting communion with the universe. A reader needs to be highly spiritually developed in order to know what message is really trying to be heard through a spread.

Throughout my teenage years, I worked to develop my own personal connection to spirit and source, but now I have been professionally reading tarot for other people for 10 years!

The first step to living your best life is acknowledging you are at a crossroads, with an opportunity to make some changes. The next step is discerning what changes to make and what you can do with the help of a tarot and someone like me!

Embracing change can sometimes be scary- you are, on a metaphysical level, turning towards chaos. But with an experienced and compassionate guide like me, the process can instead be exciting and rewarding!

Tarot readings can provide guidance on issues such as relationships, career, purpose, and health. If you book a session with me, you can ask whatever you want. I will give you a reading on that question, and then talk it through with you in an open, kind, and non-judgmental way.
If you’ve never had a tarot reading before, I’m happy to take my time explaining everything and guiding you through the process. If you’d like to read more about the benefits of getting a tarot reading and what questions to ask the cards so you get a helpful reading, click here to read an article I wrote on just that topic!

A great thing about tarot is that it isn’t about giving you orders- you can take it or leave it depending on how an interpretation resonates with your own intuition.
At the end of the day, it’s all about you living your best life, and loving yourself more and more as you grow towards your true and best self. That’s why I always make sure to create a safe and sacred space for every reading, so you can feel free to listen to the guidance the cards have to offer without feeling stressed out!

The Benefits of A Tarot Reading - Kim Rain

The best psychic readings start with you

Tarot card reading can reveal deep secrets of your life and help you make better choices and decisions in many areas. Here are some interesting benefits from getting a professional tarot reading:

Getting clarity in your life journey

If you feel you are at crossroads in any area of your looking for helpful insights into your life journey, tarot card reading can help shine the light unto your path. Through the reading, you can get better knowledge and understanding concerning your life situations.

Making the right decisions

Sometimes making crucial, potentially life-changing decisions can be a daunting task. You are careful about your choice because you know taking the wrong step can have dire consequences. A tarot card reading can guide you and help you make the right decisions. It won't foretell what's in your future but, it can broaden your understanding and help you make the right call.

Improving specific aspects of your life

No human in life is perfect. Everyone has one or more personality traits that prevent them from attaining perfection in different areas of their lives. No matter your level of achievements or accomplishments, you will always find at least one area of your life that needs improvement.

Tarot card reading can help you identify the areas of your life that need improving, so you can make necessary adjustments.

Building relationships

Tarot card reading is great at dispelling negative vibes and replacing them with positive energy. This can help you create and sustain healthy relationships with others. If you are in a relationship, you will understand the essence of appreciating the good aspects while taking proactive steps to improve on the shortcomings.

Finding peace

Another amazing benefit of getting a tarot card reading is that it brings you inner peace by dispelling your worries and fears. If you find yourself dwelling more on your struggles and fears rather than focusing on the positives, then you may want to give tarot card reading a shot.

Creating Great Questions for Your Reader

When you visit a tarot card reader and sit at the table, it's time to start asking the questions you need answers to. The questions you ask and how you structure them go a long way in determining the direction and the details of the result you will get.

Yet many people sit at the table without knowing what to ask exactly. Sometimes they know what they want but putting them into question can become a challenge. Many tarot readers are not new to all manner of questions, from common ones like ("will he marry me?") to strange ones like ("did my tattoo cause me to be unlucky?"). There are a whole lot of them.

The truth is, there's a small learning curve to crafting the right question, and with some practice, you should be fine. Your question will serve as a foundation for an accurate reading. Start by reflecting on what you want to get out of the reading. What do you want? What are your challenges?

Do not visit a tarot reader solely because you want to know what the future holds. There is a lot more a reading can offer, so avoid questions like "should I," "will I," or "does he/she." Instead, focus on questions that seek clarification or more understanding about a particular subject.

For instance, "what steps do I need to take to improve my relationship" is better than "does he love me." This is because the former allows you to get answers that require proactive steps and measures.

Yes or no questions can be tricky even for the most talent reader. There are outside variables that can sometimes that cloud a reading. You may get a yes that he/she will call but they may call later than expected.

If you need inspiration on how to come up with good questions, here are some examples to follow:

Why do I keep seeing this pattern in my life, and how can I turn things around?

How do I build and nurture my relationship with ------------?

What's the best path for me to follow at this stage of my ---------?

Where should I channel all my positive energy at this time?

What is this situation trying to show or tell me?

What could be the consequences of choosing --------?

What can I do to expand and improve my network?

How will I advance in my _________?

What would bring me closer to _______ goal?

What is blocking me from __________?

What can I do to remove _______________ that is blocking me from ________?

Here are questions you should not ask during a tarot card reading session

Does X love me? Whatever you do, never go about trying to read people's minds or intentions. That's not the purpose of tarot reading. If you need to know what someone feels for you, you should talk to them and ask. Instead ask “What are their true feelings of me?”

When will I die, or how long will I live? This question is grossly inappropriate for a tarot reading session, and most readers wouldn't touch it even with the longest pole.

What is my ex, their new partner, the neighbor’s dog, cat etc. up to? Stalking your ex or spying on them and others has no place in tarot card reading. You should rather focus on your life and how you can become a better person.

Will I get a job with more benefits, better hours, oh and a great boss? Multi-layer questions can confuse your reader and can bring about a false positive. Try asking one question at a time or asking a question with more depth like “How can I get a full-time job with benefits?” then “What kind of benefits should I expect?” then “What kind of boss or company should I look to work with?”

Be Blessed!
